Scope
GB 10395.1-2025 is the English-translated version of 农业机械 安全 第1部分: 总则.
GB 10395.1-2025 is Part 1 of the GB/T (GB) 10395 series on the safety of agricultural machinery: a type-C machine safety standard in the sense of GB/T 15706-2012 that specifies safety requirements for the design and manufacture of self-propelled, mounted, semi-mounted and trailed agricultural machinery, the methods for verifying them and the safe working practice information, including residual risks, to be supplied by the manufacturer, and it applies to the design, manufacture and inspection and testing of such machinery.
It does not cover agricultural and forestry tractors, agricultural aircraft and hovercraft, lawn and garden machinery, specific machine components or functions, or hazards from professional maintenance and repair, the environment, road safety and PTO drive shafts.
Its clauses cover requirements applicable to all machines, additional requirements for self-propelled machinery and for mounted, semi-mounted and trailed machinery, verification of the safety requirements and information for use, with a normative noise test code (engineering method, grade 2), normative strength tests, and informative annexes listing the significant hazards, guiding risk assessment and performance-level determination for safety-related parts of control systems, and dealing with the stability of tractor-implement combinations.
It replaces GB 10395.1-2009; the new edition adds requirements on protection against moving parts during work, automatic mode, access dimensions, operator seats, non-operator standing positions, folding parts, a 1 500 mm maximum height for filling points, electromagnetic compatibility, emergency stop, safety-related control parts, automatic steering and rollover, revises emergency exit cross-sections and power transmission to driven machines, and requires a height warning sign where parts of a self-propelled machine exceed 4 m.
It was issued on 2 December 2025 and takes effect on 1 November 2026. Classification: ICS 65.060.01, CCS B90. The document runs to 43 pages, delivered complete in English translation.
