This document replaces GB 10395.7-2006, Tractors and machinery for agriculture and forestry - Technical means for ensuring safety - Part 7: Combine harvesters, forage harvesters and cotton harvesters. Compared with GB 10395.7-2006, apart from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

- the scope has been changed (see Clause 1; Clause 1 of the 2006 edition);

- terms and definitions have been added (see Clause 3);

- general requirements for safety requirements and/or protective/risk reduction measures have been added (see 4.1, 5.1);

- the requirements for the location and identification of controls have been changed (see 4.2.1; 4.1.4 of the 2006 edition);

- the requirements for control clearances have been changed (see 4.2.2; 4.1.4 of the 2006 edition);

- requirements for starting and stopping the engine have been added (see 4.2.3);

- the requirements for the operator's seat have been changed (see 4.3.1; 4.1.2 of the 2006 edition);

- requirements for the passenger seat have been added (see 4.3.2);

- the requirements for shearing and crushing points have been changed (see 4.3.4; 4.1.5 of the 2006 edition);

- requirements for folding mechanisms, interchangeable and detachable harvesting units, automatic guidance systems, hot surfaces, fire hazard, overhead power lines, reversing devices for the header/feeding unit, holding the raised header in position, noise, hydraulic components and fittings, and electrical equipment have been added (see 4.5 to 4.8, 4.10, 4.11, 4.13 to 4.17);

- the requirements for maintenance and servicing, header drives, cutting mechanisms, augers, reels, grain tanks and grain conveying systems, maize harvesting units, rear-mounted straw choppers, straw spreaders and chaff spreaders have been changed (see 4.9, 4.12, 5.3 to 5.6; 4.3 to 4.8 of the 2006 edition);
