Scope

GB 10395.7-2025 is the English-translated version of 农业机械 安全 第7部分:联合收割机、饲料收获机、棉花收获机和甘蔗收获机.

Part 7 of China's mandatory agricultural machinery safety series, covering combine harvesters, forage harvesters, cotton harvesters and sugar cane harvesters. These are the largest and most dangerous machines an ordinary farm operates: a combine carries a header several metres wide full of cutting and conveying mechanisms, a threshing drum turning at speed, and augers that will draw in anything that touches them. Most harvester injuries happen when the machine is stopped but not isolated - a blockage is cleared by hand while the drive is still engaged, and the stored energy in the drum or the hydraulics releases as soon as the obstruction moves. So the requirements concentrate on guarding the drives, on the isolation procedure before entering the machine, on the header's support when raised, and on access and egress from the cab. The forage and cane harvesters add their own hazard: they cut and blow material continuously and are fed by hand more often than they should be.

1 Scope

This document, together with GB 10395.1, specifies the design and manufacture of combine harvesters, forage harvesters, cotton harvesters, and sugarcane harvesters. The safety requirements and acceptance criteria for the construction are outlined; the safety precautions for operators during normal operation and maintenance of these machines, including those arising from their intended use, are also specified. Methods for eliminating or reducing risks are specified; the types of safety operating procedures information provided by manufacturers are also defined; and information on combine harvesters and forage harvesters is also provided. All significant hazards involved in the use of machinery, cotton harvesters, and sugarcane harvesters, whether for intended use or under conditions of misuse reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer. Hazardous conditions and hazardous events (see Appendix A). This document does not specify design requirements for rollover protection devices (if the machine is equipped with them). This document does not provide the performance level (or category) for safety-related components of control systems that conform to GB/T 38874 or GB/T 16855.

Note. This document does not take into account special requirements related to road traffic regulations. This document applies to the design, manufacture, and inspection of combine harvesters, forage harvesters, cotton harvesters, and sugarcane harvesters. Regarding hazards related to braking and steering, this document applies only to the ergonomics of braking and steering (e.g., brake pedal and steering wheel). (The position of the disc), excluding other aspects related to braking and steering. For towed harvesters, this document applies only to hazards related to the working process. This document does not apply to personnel other than the operator when operating combine harvesters, forage harvesters, cotton harvesters, and sugarcane harvesters. Hazards arising from cleaning of fields and grain bins, and hazards related to vibration and moving parts in power transmission (strength requirements for protective devices and barriers). except).
