1. General

ChinaStandards.org is operated by CS TRANSMEDIA LTD, company number 17456329 registered address 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, UK. In these terms, "we", "us", and "ChinaStandards" mean CS TRANSMEDIA LTD.

2. License

Each purchased standard PDF is licensed for use by a single organization. You may share the document within your company but may not redistribute, resell, or publish it publicly.

3. Translations

The Chinese-language original is always the sole legally authoritative text. Our English translations are provided for reference and comprehension only. They have no legal force, are not endorsed by any Chinese government body or standards authority, and must not be relied on for legal, regulatory, certification, or compliance purposes. Where the translation and the Chinese original differ, the Chinese original prevails. We strive for accuracy but do not warrant that any translation is complete or error-free.

4. No Professional Advice

Our translations are documents, not advice. Nothing we provide constitutes legal, engineering, regulatory, or compliance advice, and no professional relationship is created by your use of the site. You are responsible for verifying any standard against the official Chinese source and for consulting a qualified professional before acting on it.

If you need to check our English translation against the official text, we provide the original Chinese-language version of any standard you have purchased in English free of charge, on request — just contact us with your order details.

5. Currency & Status of Standards

Standards are issued, amended, superseded, and withdrawn by the relevant Chinese authorities on their own schedule. Status information shown on the site is provided in good faith but may not reflect the latest changes. It is your responsibility to confirm that a standard is current and applicable to your use.

6. Payments and Quotations

Prices and tax. All prices are listed in USD. Prices are shown net of VAT; no VAT is charged on your order. Prices may change without notice; orders are charged at the price shown at the time of purchase, or at the price stated in a quotation you have accepted.

Card payments. Card payments (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay and the other methods shown at checkout) are processed securely by Stripe and taken at checkout. We never see or store your full card details.

Bank transfer. Bank transfer is available for orders of USD 300 or more. To pay this way, request a quotation: it includes our bank details and the payment reference to use. Unless the quotation says otherwise:

  • payment is made in advance, in USD;
  • we deliver as soon as the full amount has arrived in our account;
  • all bank charges are paid by the sender (the "OUR" option). If a lower amount arrives, the difference must be paid before delivery;
  • the quotation number must be used as the payment reference.

Bank transfers can take a few business days to arrive. We are not responsible for delays caused by your bank or by intermediary banks.

Quotations.

  • A quotation is valid for 30 days from its date of issue, unless it states a different period.
  • Prices in a quotation are in USD, net of VAT.
  • A quotation becomes a binding order when you accept it in writing — by signing it, sending a purchase order, or confirming by email.
  • Delivery times start from your acceptance and, where the quotation requires payment in advance or a deposit, from the day that payment arrives.
  • We quote the edition of each standard that is current on the date of the quotation. If a standard is revised or withdrawn before you accept, we update the quotation.
  • Items we cannot deliver are removed from the order or refunded.
  • We may correct obvious errors in a quotation, such as a typo in a price.
  • Terms printed on your purchase order do not apply unless we agree to them in writing.

Invoices. For card payments, a tax invoice is attached to the order confirmation email automatically. For bank transfers, the quotation is the payment request, and we send the final invoice once your payment has arrived. Need your company name or VAT / tax ID on the invoice? Contact us and we will reissue it.

7. Delivery

Standards already in our catalogue are delivered electronically right after payment, via direct download and email. If you pay by bank transfer, we deliver as soon as the payment has arrived (see section 6).

If you request a standard we don't list yet, we source and translate it for you. Payment is taken at the time of order, and these orders are usually delivered within 1–3 business days. If we can't obtain the standard in a reasonable time, we cancel the order and refund you in full — see our Refund Policy.

8. Partner Program

Partner accounts get 15% off every standard, on every order, across the whole catalogue — including standards we source on request. Signing up is free: enter your email and we send you a sign-in link, no password or card required.

The partner discount is applied automatically at checkout while you're signed in. Any one-off quote we send you is separate and replaces the partner discount on that order only; the two don't stack.

9. Limitation of Liability

Everything on this site and every document we deliver is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChinaStandards is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from decisions or actions taken based on our translations or the information on this site. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

10. Your Responsibilities

You agree to use our documents only as permitted by the License above. You are responsible for how you use them, and you agree to hold ChinaStandards harmless from any claim arising out of your misuse of a document or your breach of these terms — including any unauthorized redistribution, resale, or publication.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on this page, and continued use of the site means you accept it.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute relating to them is subject to the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, this does not remove any protection you have under the mandatory law of your own country.
