Scope
GB/T 25423-2023 is the English-translated version of 方草捆打捆机.
GB/T 25423-2023 sets the requirements for square straw bale balers, the machines that pick up or cut loose fibrous material, compress it and tie it into rectangular bales.
It defines the terms of the trade and gives the product model designation, the technical requirements - general, performance, main parts and components, assembly and safety - the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking, packaging, transport and storage.
Performance indicators are tabulated for small, medium and large machines, together with the classification of inspection items and the judgement rules. It applies to tractor-powered balers that tie with rope; other models may follow it as guidance.
It cites GB 10395.1-2009 and GB/T 10395.20 for machinery safety and JB/T 9702 for the knotter. It replaces GB/T 25423-2010, was issued on 27 November 2023 and has applied since 1 June 2024.
