Foreword
All technical content of this Standard is mandatory. This Standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This Standard replaces GB 10648-1999 "Feed label". Compared with GB 10648-1999, the main technical differences in this Standard are as follows: - modified and improved the scope of application of the standard (see Clause 1); - added the terms and definitions for feed, feed material, feed additive (see 3.2~3.15); modified the definition for medical feed additive (see 3.18); deleted the term and definition for "shelf life"; used "net content" to replace "net weight" (see 3.17) and specified the marking requirements for net content (see 5.7); - added that contents such as the prevention or treatment of animal diseases must not labeled (see 4.4); - added the requirements that product name shall use common name; and specified representation and labeling requirements for common names for all types of feed (see 5.2); - specified the requirements that the guaranteed analysis of product shall meet the standards implemented by the product (see 5.3.1); - the guaranteed analysis of feed product are divided into two parts. "guaranteed analysis of feed and feed raw material" and "guaranteed analysis of feed additive"; the feed additive products are divided into "mineral trace element feed additive, enzyme preparation feed additive, microbial feed additive, feed additive blender, other feed additive"; revised, supplemented and improved the guaranteed analysis of feed and feed raw material, the guaranteed analysis of feed additive; added the provisions that the guaranteed analysis of feed raw material is the mandatory labeling item in the Feed Material List; added the provisions that liquid feed additive, liquid additive premix feed do not need labeling with moisture; added the provisions that feed additives and imported feed additives that implement corporate standards shall be labeled with health indicators (see Table 1, Table 2); - revised, supplemented and improved the content of the raw material composition that shall be labeled (see 5.4); - added the provisions that feed additive, trace mineral premix and vitamin premix shall indicate recommended dosage and precautions (see 5.6); - specified that the date of manufacture indicated on the Chinese label of the imported product shall be the same as the date of manufacture indicated on the label of origin (see 5.8.2); - added a representation method for shelf life and required that the shelf life of the Chinese label of the imported product shall be the same as the shelf life indicated on the label of origin (see 5.9); - listed storage conditions and methods separately as one sub-clause (see 5.10); - used "license document number" to replace "production license and product approval number" (see 5.11); - added special labelling provisions for feed of animal origin (see 5.13.1), commissioned processed products (see 5.13.3), customized products (see 5.13.4), imported products (see 5.13.5) and genetically modified products (see 5.13.6); - supplemented that labels must not be obscured and shall be visible without opening the package (see 6.2); - added unit of measurement for guaranteed analysis of enzyme preparation feed additive and microbial feed additive. 1 Scope

This Standard specifies basic principles, basic content and basic requirements labeled by feed, feed additive and feed ingredient labels. This Standard is applicable to commodity feed, feed additives and feed ingredients (including imported products), excluding feedable raw grain, pharmaceutical feed additives and feeds prepared by farmers themselves.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions defined in GB/T 10647 as well as the followings apply.
3.1 feed label all notes or other instructions describing the contents of feed, feed additives and feed ingredients in words, symbols, numbers and figures
3.4 single feed a feed derived from an animal, plant, microbe or mineral for the production of feed products
3.5 feed additive premix feed consisting of two kinds (types) or more nutritive feed additives, formulated with a carrier or diluent in a certain ratio, including premix, trace mineral premix, vitamin premix
3.7 vitamin premix a homogeneous mixture of two or more vitamins with a carrier and/or diluent in a certain ratio, of which the vitamin content shall meet the vitamin requirements of the specific physiological stage of the animal, the amount added in formula feed, supplementary concentrate or animal drinking water is not less than 0.01% and not higher than 10%
3.8 trace mineral premix a homogeneous mixture of two or more mineral trace elements and a carrier and/or diluent in a certain ratio, of which the trace element content of minerals can meet the requirements of trace elements in the specific physiological stage of animals, the addition amount in formula feed, supplementary concentrate or animal drinking water is not less than 0.1% and not higher than 10%
3.12 feed additive small or trace substances added during feed processing, preparation, and use, including nutritive feed additives and general feed additives
3.13 feed additive blender feed additive product which is mixed in a certain ratio by one or more feed additives and a carrier or diluent, but which is not an additive premix feed
3.14 official approval document a general name for new feed, new feed additive certificate; feed, feed additive import registration certificate; feed, feed additive production license, and feed additive, additive premix feed product approval number
3.17 net content the amount of contents after removing the packaging container and all other packaging materials
3.18 medical feed additive premixed veterinary drug incorporating a carrier or diluent for the prevention or treatment of animal diseases
4 Basic principles
4.1 The labelling content shall comply with the relevant national laws, regulations and standards.
4.2 The labelling content shall be true, scientific and accurate.
4.4 Do not label content that has the effect of preventing or treating animal diseases. However, the addition of a pharmaceutical feed additive to the feed can explain the effect of the added pharmaceutical feed additive.
5 Basic content that shall be labeled
5.1 Hygienic requirements Feed, feed additives and feed ingredients shall meet the corresponding hygiene requirements.

5.2 Product name
5.2.1 Product name shall use common name.
5.2.2 Feed additives shall be labeled with the words "feed additive". Its common name shall be consistent with the common name in the "Catalogue of Feed Additives". Feed ingredients shall be labeled with the words "feed ingredients".
5.2.3 The common name for feed additive blender is expressed as "product name or category specified in the "feed additive blender + Feed Additives Catalogue" such as " feed additive blender ethoxyquinoline", " feed additive blender antioxidant".
5.3 Guaranteed analysis of product
5.3.1 Guaranteed analysis of product shall meet the requirements of the standards implemented by the product.
5.3.2 See Table 1 for labeling requirements for guaranteed analysis of feed and feed material.
5.7 Net content
5.7.1 Packaging products shall indicate the net content of the product packaging unit. Products transported by canned vehicles shall indicate the net content of the transport unit.
5.7.2 Solid products shall use quality labeling. Liquid, semi-solid or viscous products can be labeled by volume or mass.
5.8 Date of production
5.8.1 It shall indicate the full year, month, and day.
5.8.2 The date of manufacture indicated on the Chinese label of the imported product shall be the same as the date of manufacture indicated on the label of origin.
5.9 Shelf life
5.9.1 Use "shelf life is day (day) or month or year" or "shelf life to. year, month and day" to represent.
5.9.2 The shelf life indicated on the Chinese label of the imported product shall be the same as the shelf life indicated on the label of origin.
5.10 Storage conditions and methods Storage conditions and storage methods shall be indicated.
5.11 Number of administrative official approval document Feed and feed additive products subject to administrative license management shall be labeled with the number of administrative official approval document.
5.13.1 Feed of animal origin
5.13.3 Commissioned processing products In addition to the basic contents specified in this chapter, the name, registered address and production license number of the entrusted enterprise shall also be indicated.
5.13.4 Customized product
5.13.5 Imported products Imported products are labeled with Chinese to indicate the country of origin or region name.
5.13.6 Genetically modified products The labeling of genetically modified products shall comply with the requirements of relevant laws and regulations.
6 Basic requirements
6.1 Printed materials shall be firm and durable. Text, symbols, numbers, graphics are clear and eye-catching, easy to identify.
6.5 It shall use national legal unit of measurement. See Annex A for common measurement unit for guaranteed analysis of product.
6.6 A label can only identify one product.
