GB/T 22144-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the mineral materials fed to animals - limestone, phosphates, salt, zeolites and clays - with their identification, their nutrient content and the heavy metals and fluorine that come with a natural mineral and have to be limited. It replaces GB/T 22144-2008, one of four feed standards revised together. It was issued on 31 December 2025 and has been in force since 1 July 2026, replacing GB/T 22144-2008. The document is under the responsibility of the Standardization Administration of China. 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 22144-2008 "General Rules for Natural Mineral Feed". Compared with GB/T 22144-2008, the main differences are in structural adjustments. Aside from editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:
a) The terms and definitions for "natural minerals" and "natural mineral feed" have been removed (see Chapter 3 of the.2008 edition);
b) The "Hygiene Standards for Manufacturing Enterprises" (see section
4.1 of the.2008 edition) has been deleted;
c) The regulations for "physicochemical indicators" and "hygiene indicators" have been revised (see 4.2, 4.3, and
4.4 in the.2008 edition);
d) The sampling rules have been changed (see Chapter 5,
6.2 of the.2008 edition);
e) The "Test Methods" have been changed (see Chapter 6, Chapter 5 of the.2008 edition);
f) The provisions regarding "batching, factory inspection, type inspection, and judgment rules" have been revised (see Chapter 7, Chapter 6 of the.2008 edition);
g) The provisions on "labeling, packaging, transport, storage and shelf life" have been changed (see Chapter 8, Chapter 7 of the.2008 edition).
