1 Scope

GB 7300.309-2025 is the Chinese national standard on feed additives - part 3:minerals and their complexes (or chelates) - ferrous lactate, in the field of agriculture. It carries no /T suffix, which in the Chinese system means compliance is mandatory: a product or a practice within its scope has to meet it to be lawfully made, sold or carried out in China. It was issued on 31 December 2025 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and takes effect on 1 January 2027. Classification: ICS 65.120, CCS B46. This document provides the chemical name, molecular formula, relative molecular mass, and structural formula of ferrous lactate, and specifies the feed additive ferrous lactate. The technical requirements, inspection rules, labeling, packaging, transportation, storage and shelf life are described, as well as the sampling and testing methods. This document applies to the preparation of products using sodium lactate (or calcium lactate) and ferrous sulfate, or lactic acid and iron powder as raw materials, through processes such as reaction and drying.
