Scope

GB/T 22142-2024 is the English-translated version of 饲料添加剂 有机酸通用要求.

GB/T 22142-2024 is the Chinese national standard covering the single organic acids fed to animals or dosed into drinking water to hold off mould and acidify the gut — the appearance and properties of the solid and liquid forms, the identity test, the quality, impurity and hygiene indicators, the sampling, the test methods for fineness and acid content, the inspection rules and the judgment that decides a batch, and the labelling, packaging, storage and shelf life. The 2008 edition carried no sampling chapter and no shelf life; both are here, and the identity test is new. It replaces GB/T 22142-2008. In force from 1 May 2025. Issued on 26 October 2024, it has been in force since 1 May 2025, replacing GB/T 22142-2008.
