Scope

GB/T 10111-2008 is the English-translated version of 随机数的产生及其在产品质量抽样检验中的应用程序.

GB/T 10111-2008 tells inspectors how to generate random numbers and how to use them to draw a sample for product-quality sampling inspection.

It sets out the general procedure - fixing the sample size, choosing a method, numbering the items in the lot, generating the numbers, drawing the corresponding units and handling the sample - and three ways of producing the numbers: a random number table, random dice and a pseudo-random number generator.

Simple random, systematic and stratified random sampling each have their own chapter, double and multiple sampling are discussed, and normative appendices give a random number table, the playing-card method and pseudo-random number procedures.

Its summary states that it does not apply to sampling bulk material. It replaces GB/T 15500-1995, was issued on 28 July 2008 and has applied since 1 January 2009.

This standard replaces GB/T 10111-1988 "using random numbers dice random sampling method" and GB/T 15500-1995 "Lee The method of "random sampling random sampling electronic device.
