NB/T 11142-2023 is the English-translated version of 煤矿井下超高压水力割缝装置.

NB/T 11142-2023 is the Chinese energy industry standard for ultra-high pressure hydraulic slotting devices working with clear water in underground coal mines. Hydraulic slotting here means using a water jet at a pressure of not less than 80 MPa to cut flat slots of a certain depth into the coal around a borehole.

The standard sets out the model and device configuration, requirements, test methods and inspection rules, and covers marking, instructions for use, packaging, transport and storage.

It draws on standards for emulsion pumps and their safety valves, hydraulic hoses, fusion welding quality, emergency stop design, explosion-proof electrical equipment and flame-retardant polymer parts. Issued on 6 February 2023, it has applied since 6 August 2023.
