Scope
NB/T 11527-2024 is the English-translated version of 煤矿井下气动定向钻进技术规程.
NB/T 11527-2024 is the Chinese energy industry code of practice for pneumatic directional drilling underground in coal mines, where compressed gas serves as the circulating power medium while measurements are taken during drilling.
It deals with the formation conditions that suit the method, selection of drilling equipment such as air compressors, nitrogen generators, dust collectors and screw drilling tools, drilling design, site requirements, drilling and hole completion techniques, and safety measures during construction.
It builds on NB/T 10173-2019. Air directional drilling, with compressed air as the medium, is treated as one form of the method. Issued on 24 May 2024, it has applied since 24 November 2024.
