Foreword

Clauses 4, 5, 6 and 8 of this standard are mandatory; the remainder is recommended.

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces GB 3796-2006, General rule for packing of pesticides. Compared with GB 3796-2006, the main technical changes are as follows:

- the term "batch number" has been deleted, and the terms and definitions "pesticide packaging waste", "pesticide packaging", "pesticide internal packaging" and "pesticide external packaging" have been added (see Clause 3; Clause 3 of the 2006 edition);

- in the packaging technical requirements, the packaging environment and pesticide products have been deleted (see 5.1 and 5.2 of the 2006 edition);

- water-soluble packaging bags have been added to the packaging materials, together with the choice of packaging materials that are easy to recover, treat and recycle (see 5.1);

- in the packaging requirements, the upper limits of net content for liquid formulations and solid formulations have been revised to 20 kg and 25 kg respectively (see 5.2.2; 5.4.1 of the 2006 edition);

- "packaging marks" has been changed to "package marking", a traceability code marking of the package has been added to the content marked on the internal packaging, and the content of the pesticide marking has been adjusted and supplemented (see 5.3; 5.5 of the 2006 edition);

- content on the recovery of pesticide packaging waste has been added (see Clause 8).

This standard was proposed by and is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's Republic of China.
