Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document is Part 2 of GB/T 21459.GB/T 21459 has already published the following parts.

---GB/T 21459.5 Specifications for Drafting Standards for Fungal Pesticide Bait Products. This document supersedes GB/T 21459.2-2008 "Specifications for Drafting Standards for Fungal Pesticide Powders" and is consistent with GB/T 21459.2-2008. Compared to previous versions, aside from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

a) Terms and definitions have been changed (see Chapter 3, Chapter 3 of the.2008 edition);

b) The "Bacterial Count" control item has been changed (see 4.3,.2008 version 4.3);

c) The "Viable Productivity" control item has been removed (see

4.3 in the.2008 version);

d) The "Chemical Impurities" control item and determination method have been deleted (see sections

1 Scope

GB/T 21459.2-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the dustable powder form of a fungal biopesticide - the spore count per gram and its viability, the fineness and the flowability, the moisture, and the contaminant microorganisms that must be kept below a limit. Part 2 of the series. It replaces GB/T 21459.2-2008, in force from 1 May 2026. Issued on 31 October 2025, it has been in force since 1 May 2026, replacing GB/T 21459.2-2008.

This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, acceptance and quality guarantee period, and marking for fungal pesticide powder products. Requirements for the content and writing of labels, packaging, and storage and transportation. This document applies to the drafting of product standards for fungal pesticide powders.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 spore The reproductive body of a fungus.

Note. There are various types, including conidia, budspores, and chlamydospores.

3.2 Conidia Colorless or colored spores produced by conidiophore cells (terminal/lateral, chain/clustered, various shapes and sizes, unicellular/multicellular) Asexually reproducing cells.

Note. This is the most common spore type in fungal pesticides.

3.3 microbial density The effective ingredient contained per unit mass or volume of fungal pesticides is the number of live bacterial colonies.

3.4 sporecontent;sporeconcentration The number of fungal spores, the active ingredient in fungal pesticides, per unit mass or volume.
