Scope
GB/T 18171-2017 is the English-translated version of 百菌清悬浮剂.
GB/T 18171-2017 sets the quality requirements for chlorothalonil aqueous suspension concentrates, the flowable formulations made from chlorothalonil technical with suitable auxiliaries and fillers, in 40% and 54% strengths.
It covers composition and appearance, the control items for each strength, including the chlorothalonil mass fraction and limits on the impurities hexachlorobenzene and decachlorobiphenyl, and the test methods, marking, labelling, packaging, storage, transport and guarantee period.
The referenced methods include pH, suspensibility, wet sieve fineness, persistent foaming, pourability and heat and low-temperature storage stability, together with the acceptance and sampling rules for commercial pesticides.
An informative annex gives other names, structural formulas and physico-chemical data of these substances. It replaces GB 18171-2000, was issued on 1 November 2017 and has applied since 1 May 2018.

Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 18171-2000 "chlorothalonil SC", compared with GB/T 18171-2000, the main technical changes as follows.
--- Increased by 54% specification;
--- 40% specification hexachlorobenzene index from not higher than 0.2g/kg to no higher than 0.02g/kg;
--- Added deca-biphenyl control index;
--- wet sieve test (through 45µm test sieve) from not less than 99% to wet sieve test (through 75µm test sieve) not less than 99.5%;
--- dumping dumping residue from not more than 5.0% to not more than 6.0%;
--- After the "hot storage appearance, chlorothalonil mass fraction, suspension rate, sieve still meet the standard requirements" to "after storage chlorothalonil mass fraction is not Lower than 97% before storage, the suspension rate still meets the standard requirements. "
1 Scope
This standard specifies the chlorothalonil suspending agent requirements, test methods and signs, labels, packaging, storage and delivery and guarantee period.
This standard applies to chlorothalonil by the original drug, suitable additives and fillers processed chlorothalonil SC.
NOTE Other names, structural formulas and basic physico-chemical parameters of chlorothalonil, hexachlorobenzene and deca-biphenyl are given in Appendix A.

3 Requirements
3.1 Composition and appearance
Chlorothalonil SC is made of standard chlorothalonil, additives and fillers. It is a flowable, easy-to-measure volume suspension Body, the deposit may precipitate during the storage, but shaking hands, can restore the status quo, no caking.
3.2 Specifications
Chlorothalonil SC should also meet the requirements of Table 1.
