Foreword

This Standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. The code 128 which is specified in this Standard is an application subset of GB/T 18347 "Code 128". 1 Scope

GB/T 15425-2014 is the Chinese national standard on bar code for commodity-128 bar code, in the field of information technology. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 3 September 2014 by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 February 2015. 4 Requirements

5 Application parameters of GS1-128 code

The length of the GS1-128 code symbol depends on the number of encoded characters. Evaluate the symbol quality in the form of symbol grade; the definition of its parameters shall be in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 18348.

6 GS1-128 code character string encoding/decoding rules

For the link of variable-length character string (referring to the case where the first 2 bits of all application identifiers are not included in Table 4), data separating characters are required. The preferred position of the GS1-128 code (additional bar code) that represents additional information shall be on the same horizontal line as the independent bar code (main bar code) that contains GTIN, SSCC or other GS1 codes; the additional bar code shall be as close to the main bar code as possible under the prefix of a clear area that does not affect the main bar code.
