Scope

GB/T 40569-2021 is the English-translated version of 物流周转箱标识与管理要求.

GB/T 40569-2021 sets out how logistics turnover boxes, the small reusable containers used to store and move goods, are coded, marked and managed.

It defines a 26-digit identification code made up of filling bits, a manufacturer identification code, a turnover box type code, a check code and a serial number, together with the rules for compiling it, the first 14 digits following 4.1.1 of GB/T 23833-2009.

It then covers the carrier of the marking and its technical requirements and the management of the identification, with a barcode example in Annex A and, in normative Annex B, coding rules and technical requirements for boxes identified by radio frequency identification.

It applies to coding and identifying turnover box information and to processing, exchanging and managing it. It was issued on 11 October 2021 and has applied since 1 May 2022.

This document specifies the coding rules, labeling requirements and labeling management requirements for logistics turnover boxes.

5 Logistics Turnover Box Coding Rules

5.1 Code structure

The logistics turnover box identification code is composed of filling bits, manufacturer identification code, turnover box type code, check code, and serial number, which is 26 digits The code is divided into four structures, see Table 1.

The coding rules for the first 14 digits of the logistics turnover box identification code shall be implemented in accordance with 4.1.1 of GB/T 23833-2009.
