Scope
GB/T 36061-2018 is the English-translated version of 电子商务交易产品可追溯性通用规范.
China's national general specification for tracing products sold through e-commerce. It sets out what traceability information must be captured, how it is structured and how it is made available. Traceability in a shop is a supply chain matter between businesses; in e-commerce it becomes a consumer-facing one, because the buyer has no shop to return to and no way to judge a seller except by what the platform shows. The information that matters is the chain: which manufacturer made the batch, when, which distributor held it, which merchant listed it and which order it went out on. For food, medicines, cosmetics and infant products that chain is what a recall runs on, and China's food safety incidents are the reason the requirement exists at all. The harder part is that a marketplace transaction crosses several parties who each hold one link, and a general specification is what makes those links join up rather than each being complete on its own terms.

General specification for traceability of e-commerce transaction products
1 Scope
This standard specifies the principle of traceability of e-commerce transaction products, general traceability procedures, and requirements for retrospective participants and traceability information. And implement traceability and recalls. This standard applies to the tracing and management of e-commerce transaction products.
