Scope
QC/T 413-2002 is the English-translated version of 汽车电气设备基本技术条件.
QC/T 413-2002 lays down the general technical conditions shared by automotive electrical equipment, covering motors and electrical and electronic products fitted to vehicles.
It fixes normal working conditions, temperature ranges by mounting location, working voltage ranges for 12 V and 24 V systems, single- and double-wire systems with negative earth, and rotation direction.
Further requirements address over-speed of rotating products, protection degrees, abnormal voltage, insulation, electromagnetic compatibility, temperature resistance, humidity cycling, vibration, salt spray, industrial solvents, surface protection and durability, each with its test method.
Inspection rules, nameplates, packaging and storage are also covered. Individual product standards build on it, adding their own parameters. It replaces QC/T 413-1999. Issued on 31 December 2002, it has applied since 1 March 2003.
