Scope
QC/T 1110-2019 is the English-translated version of 汽车柴油机燃油加热装置.
QC/T 1110-2019 covers the automotive diesel fuel heating system, a device made up of a diesel heating unit and a temperature controller that uses on-board energy to warm the fuel.
It applies to systems that heat mainly by electric means; other methods may refer to it. The document gives requirements, test methods and inspection rules. Clause 4 sets the rated operating voltage at 12 V DC or 24 V DC and requires compliance with 8.6.9 of GB 7258-2017.
For devices mounted on the engine the minimum operating temperature must be no higher than -41 degrees C and the maximum no lower than 120 degrees C; for other locations the minimum is the same and the maximum follows 3.1.3 of QC/T 413-2002.
Continuous normal running time must be at least 1000 h under the conditions of 8.1 of GB/T 18297-2001.
On safety, flame retardancy follows 8.6.2 of GB 7258-2017, manually controlled heating must not let the diesel exceed 45 degrees C and must switch off above that value, and automatically controlled heating must stay below 38 degrees C, settable but never above 45 degrees C. Installation clauses cover fastener torque to QC/T 518, tanks to GB 18296, filters to GB/T 28953 and engines to Chapter 5 of GB 7258-2017.
The heating capacity test uses No. 0 light diesel: with ambient and fuel both at -10 degrees C, 20 minutes of heating must allow a normal bench start and at least 20 min of continuous idling.
