Scope

GB/T 24855-2010 is the English-translated version of 粮油机械 装配通用技术条件.

GB/T 24855-2010 lays down the general technical requirements for assembling grain and oil machinery.

Clause 1 states that it specifies the general technical requirements for the assembly of grain and oil machinery products, the assembly requirements for typical components, the whole-machine assembly requirements and the test methods, together with the inspection rules and the signs, packaging, transportation and storage, and that it applies to the component assembly and the whole-machine assembly of grain and oil machinery products; no exclusion is given.

Clause 3, General Technical Requirements, carries fourteen shop-floor rules: assembly follows the product design and the related technical documents as well as this standard; parts and components are inspected by the inspection department, and purchased outside parts must carry proof that they meet the quality requirements and be accepted before use; the dimensions of the parts are checked before assembly; burrs, flash, chips, oil and rust are removed from the surfaces and the inside of the box is cleaned; sharp corners and sharp edges are blunted, except on shear blades and other parts with special requirements; mating surfaces and surfaces in relative motion are cleaned and coated with clean lubricant; and no part may be damaged or deformed during assembly.

The same clause requires the lubrication and pneumatic piping to be cleared of obstructions, clean and free of obvious cracks, dents, distortion and flattening, springs to keep their free length, no pad or wedge to be fitted that the drawings or technical documents do not provide for, and every pressure, flow, speed, angle and distance adjusting mechanism to hold the adjustment range the design requires, with accurate positioning, clear display and flexible, reliable operation.

Clause 4 turns to fixed connections and opens on screwed and bolted joints, requiring that screws, bolts and nuts be tightened with a wrench and not driven by striking.

Clause 2 cites GB/T 191, GB/T 491, GB/T 492, GB/T 3768, GB/T 24854 and JB/T 9876. The foreword states that the standard was proposed by the National Food Authority and that the drafting unit is the National Research and Design Institute of Zhengzhou Grain Reserve.

The draft on the page breaks off inside 4.1.1, so the typical component and whole-machine assembly requirements, the test methods and the inspection clauses are not shown. It was issued on 30 June 2010 and has applied since 1 January 2011.
