1 Scope

China's national standard for drag chain extraction equipment. It specifies the terms and definitions, the working principle, the models and basic parameters, the technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking, packaging, transport and storage. The machine is used in solvent extraction of vegetable oil: flaked or expanded oilseed enters at one end of a long enclosed vessel and is dragged slowly along it by a chain and slat conveyor, while solvent percolates down through the moving bed and is collected in stages beneath. The counter-current arrangement is what makes it efficient - the freshest solvent meets the most exhausted material at the discharge end, so the concentration gradient driving the extraction is maintained along the whole length. The result is meal with a very low residual oil content. Because the vessel is full of hot hexane vapour, the machine is also a major explosion hazard, which is why sealing, bearing temperature and drive reliability dominate its requirements.

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, working principle, model and basic parameters, technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules of the towline leaching device.
