Scope

GB/T 26883-2011 is the English-translated version of 粮油机械 单螺旋榨油机.

China's national standard for single screw oil presses. It specifies the terms and definitions, the working principle, the classification, the technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking, packaging, transport and storage of the screw expellers used to press oil from oilseeds, and it applies to single screw presses fitted with an insulated steam conditioner. The screw press is the workhorse of oilseed processing. A single continuous screw turns inside a slotted cage, and as the seed advances the volume between the flights decreases and the pressure rises until the oil is squeezed out through the slots and the residue leaves as a cake at the end. It is continuous, it needs little labour, and it recovers most of the oil in one pass - which is why it displaced hydraulic pressing for everything except the speciality oils and why, in a solvent extraction plant, it is still used to pre-press the seed down to an oil content the extractor can handle economically. Everything difficult about the machine follows from the pressures involved. The seed is compressed to hundreds of atmospheres inside the cage, and the friction that develops does the work of heating the material as well as the work of pressing it; the temperature rises steeply, which improves the yield and degrades the oil and the protein in the cake if it goes too far. The screw and the cage bars wear rapidly against an abrasive material at that pressure and are consumable parts. The standard therefore specifies the capacity and the residual oil in the cake, the power consumption, the screw and cage materials and their wear, the adjustment that sets the pressure, the drive and its protection, and the safety, noise and reliability requirements. Issued on 29 September 2011 and in force since 1 December 2011.

This standard specifies the terms and definitions of single screw press, working principle, classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marks, Packaging, transport and storage requirements. This standard applies to insulation steamer comes with a single-screw press.
