1 Scope

China's national standard for disc dehulling columns in grain and oil processing. It specifies the terms and definitions, the working principles, the technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking. Dehulling removes the seed coat before the kernel is processed, and it is worth doing for two reasons that compound: the hull contains almost no oil, so it dilutes everything downstream and absorbs oil it will not give back, and it is high in fibre, so removing it raises the protein content of the meal into the range where it can be sold for higher value feed. The difficulty is that the hull and the kernel are attached, and separating them without shattering the kernel is a matter of applying just enough shear. Too gentle and the hulls stay on; too aggressive and the kernel fragments, after which hull and kernel pieces are the same size and no separator will tell them apart. The disc column applies that shear in stages, which is what makes the adjustment possible.

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, working principles, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and identification of grain and oil machinery disc stripper. 3 Terms and definitions

3.1 Mixed oil miscela a mixture of grease and solvent.

3.2 Mixed oil stripping miscelastripping A step of substantially removing a small amount of solvent in the concentrated mixed oil by the principle of steam distillation.
