This is Part 2 GB/T 12763, and instead of GB/T 12763.2-1991 "oceanographic survey - Marine hydrographic observations." This part of GB/T 12763 Part 1 and GB/T 12763 Part 7 supporting the use. This section compared with the GB/T 12763.2-1991 The main changes are as follows:

--- Reference standard added GB/T 15920-1995 "Oceanographic term. Physical Oceanography" and GB/T 14914-1994 "sea Bin observing practices "(see Chapter 2);

--- All terms and definitions included in Chapter 3 (see Chapter 3);

1 Scope

GB/T 12763.2-2007 is the Chinese national standard on specifications for oceanographic survey - part 2: marine hydrographic observation, in the field of natural and applied sciences. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 13 August 2007 by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 February 2008. Classification: ICS 07.060, CCS A45. GB/T 12763 provisions of this part of the basic elements of oceanographic observations, technical specifications, methods of observation and data processing. This section applies to the basic elements of the Marine Environment Survey oceanographic observations.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply GB/T 12763 in this section.

3.1 Site measured from the sea surface to the seafloor vertical distance. The main purpose of measurement is used to determine the depth of the station.

3.2 The vertical distance from the sea surface to the underwater observation instruments. Hydrological Factors for determining the measured value lies depth.

3.3 Seawater temperature measured under field conditions.

Note. The unit is °C.

3.4 A scale seawater salinity.

3.5 Macroscopic flow of sea water at a flow rate and flow characterization.

Note 1. The flow rate of the unit is cm/s.

Note 2. The flow refers to the flow direction of the sea. In degrees (°), just north of zero, measured clockwise.

3.6 Ocean waves generated by the wind. Including storm surge and evolved.
