1 Foreword

JB/T 7601.3-2008 was issued by MIIT on 4 June 2008 and has been in force since 1 November 2008.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 7601.3-1994.

It is one of 21 parts of the JB/T 7601 series.

2 Scope

This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard, Part 3 of the basic technical requirements for wire and cable equipment, and it is concerned with castings. For those castings it lays down the basic technical requirements, the test methods and the inspection rules. It applies to castings in general use on wire and cable equipment, mainly grey iron castings, ductile iron castings, steel castings and ordinary non-ferrous metal castings. Its quoted standards include GB/T 222, several parts of GB/T 223, GB/T 228, GB/T 6414 and JB/T 7945. The standard replaces JB/T 7601.3-1994, comes from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and is classified K13.
