JB/T 7601.4-2008 was issued by MIIT on 4 June 2008 and has been in force since 1 November 2008.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 7601.4-1994.
It is one of 21 parts of the JB/T 7601 series.
2 Scope
The recommended Chinese machinery industry standard JB/T 7601.4-2008 is the part of the basic technical requirements for wire and cable equipment that deals with weldments. It specifies the basic technical requirements for welding on this equipment, together with the test methods and the acceptance criteria. What it covers is the general requirements for welding wire and cable equipment; welding subject to special requirements, pressure vessels for example, is outside it. GB/T 324, GB/T 985.1-2008, GB/T 3323, GB/T 5117 and JB/T 7949 are among the standards it quotes. It supersedes JB/T 7601.4-1994, was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and bears the Chinese classification K13.
