JB/T 7601.5-2008 was issued by MIIT on 4 June 2008 and has been in force since 1 November 2008.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 7601.5-1994.
It is one of 21 parts of the JB/T 7601 series.
2 Scope
Forgings are the subject of JB/T 7601.5-2008, the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard that is Part 5 of the basic technical requirements for wire and cable equipment. It states the basic technical requirements for forging on this equipment, the test methods and the inspection rules. The forgings concerned are those in general use on wire and cable equipment, chiefly free-forged ordinary carbon steel forgings, carbon steel forgings, alloy steel forgings and non-ferrous alloy forgings. Among its quoted standards are GB/T 222, GB/T 226, GB/T 232, GB/T 10561 and GB/T 15826.1. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued it under the Chinese classification K13, in place of JB/T 7601.5-1994.
