Scope

GB/T 5121.28-2021 is the English-translated version of 铜及铜合金化学分析方法 第28部分:铬、铁、锰、钴、镍、锌、砷、硒、银、镉、锡、锑、碲、铅和铋含量的测定 电感耦合等离子体质谱法.

GB/T 5121.28-2021 is Part 28 of the Chinese national methods for the chemical analysis of copper and copper alloys, and determines fifteen elements by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry: chromium, iron, manganese, cobalt, nickel, zinc, arsenic, selenium, silver, cadmium, tin, antimony, tellurium, lead and bismuth.

The sample is dissolved in nitric acid and measured with indium as the internal standard; iron is read in collision/reaction cell mode, selenium in either cell or standard mode, and the other elements in standard mode.

The method covers contents from 0.00005% to 0.0050%. Compared with the 2010 edition, the sample mass becomes 0.10 g for all elements, the nitric acid and indium additions are changed and the measurement mode of each element is described.

It replaces GB/T 5121.28-2010, was issued on 31 December 2021 and has applied since 1 July 2022.
