3 Terms and Definitions

This document does not contain any terms or definitions that need to be defined.

4 Turbidimetric method (Method 1)

4.1 Principle

The sample was dissolved in acid, and in the presence of glycerol stabilizer in dilute hydrochloric acid, barium chloride was added to form a barium sulfate suspension.

The absorbance was measured at 400 nm using a spectrophotometer, and the value was obtained from the standard curve to calculate the sulfate content.

4.2 Reagents and Materials

Unless otherwise specified, only reagents confirmed to be of analytical grade or higher and reagents conforming to the secondary standard specified in GB/T 6682-2008 shall be used in the analysis.

Water. Certified standard solutions should be used preferentially.

4.2.2

Hydrofluoric acid (rho=1.13g/mL).

4.2.3

Perchloric acid (rho=1.67g/mL).
