JB/T 7097-2008 is the English-translated version of 铜铋铝触头材料 技术条件.

1 Foreword
JB/T 7097-2008 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China on 12 March 2008 and has been in force since 1 September 2008.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 7097-1993.
2 Scope
This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard that specifies copper-bismuth-aluminium electrical contact material. It fixes the chemical composition, the mechanical properties, the macrostructure and microstructure and other basic properties, together with test methods and inspection rules. What it applies to is copper-bismuth alloy ingot produced by vacuum smelting, a product used mainly in vacuum circuit breakers rated at 10 kV and below. The standard carries Chinese classification K14 and international classification 29.120.20, comes from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and supersedes JB/T 7097-1993.
