Scope
GB/T 30306-2024 is the English-translated version of 家用和类似用途饮用水处理滤芯.
GB/T 30306-2024 is the Chinese standard for the filter cartridges used in household drinking water treatment: the activated carbon, PP fibre, ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis and composite cartridges inside a domestic water purifier. The cartridge is the part that does the work, the part that has to be replaced, and the part on which every performance claim depends, which is why it is standardised separately from the appliance. The standard sets the classification and designation of the cartridge types, the requirements on the materials and on their contact with drinking water, the structural and dimensional requirements including the fitting interfaces, the performance requirements covering the flow rate and the pressure drop, the total treated water capacity and the service life, the reduction rate for the contaminants each type is claimed to remove, the pressure and burst resistance, the leak tightness and the microbiological requirements, together with the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking, packaging, transport and storage. The 2024 edition replaces GB/T 30306-2013. For a cartridge maker, an appliance brand or a buyer in China, this is the acceptance text.

It replaces GB/T 30306-2013, which is superseded.
1 Scope
This document specifies the classification, designation, requirements, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of household and similar purposes drinking water treatment filters (hereinafter referred to as "drinking water treatment filters"), and describes the corresponding test methods.
This document is applicable to the production, inspection, and sale of drinking water treatment filters for household and similar purposes drinking water treatment devices. This document may serve as a reference for filters with water treatment function for other products.
