GB/T 4798.2-2021 (Classification of environmental conditions - Classification of groups of environmental parameters and their severities - Part 2: Transportation and handling) is available as an English-translated PDF.
GB/T 4798.2-2021 — This document classifies the groups of environmental parameters and their severities to which a product is subjected while being transported and handled. The most commonly used methods of transportation and handling have been taken into account, including the following: - road transport: cars, trucks; - rail transport: trains, trams; - water transport, inland and maritime: ships; - air transport: aircraft, jet, propeller, helicopter; - handling equipment: cranes, transport lifts, cableways, persons; - conveyors; - hand trollies. The environmental conditions specified in this document are those that the product can be exposed to while transported and handled. If the product is packaged, the environmental conditions apply to the package containing the product. If the product is unpackaged, the environmental conditions apply to the product. Conditions for storage are given in IEC 60721-3-1.

This document is drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2020 "Directives for
standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing
documents".
The document is Part 2 of GB/T 4798 "Classification of environmental
conditions - Classification of groups of environmental parameters and their
severities". GB/T 4798 has issued the following parts:
- GB/T 4798.1-2019 Classification of environmental conditions -
Classification of groups of environmental parameters and their severities -
Part 1: Storage;
- GB/T 4798.2-2021 Classification of environmental conditions -

This document replaces GB/T 4798.2-2008 "Environmental conditions existing
in the application of electric and electronic products - Part 2: Transportation".
Compared with GB/T 4798.2-2008, in addition to structural adjustments and
editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:
a) In "Scope", add groups of environmental parameters and their severities
of "handling" (see Clause 1);
b) In Clause 3 "Terms and definitions", modify the terms "weather-protected"
and "non-weather-protected" (see 3.1 and 3.2; 3.1 and 3.2 of the 2008
edition);
c) Add the description of "the effects of short-term extreme environmental
conditions" and "the effect of long-term subjection to non-extreme
environmental stresses" (see Clause 4);
d) For "K Climatic conditions", "S Mechanically active substances" and "M
Mechanical conditions", replace old classes with new classes (see 5.2,
5.5 and 5.6; Annex A of the 2008 edition);
e) Add "snow load", "low rain temperature", "formation of ice and frost
(including freeze-thaw)", and "temperature shock" to the environmental
parameters of "K Climatic conditions" (see Table 1);
f) Adjust the description of different classifications of environmental
conditions from the previous Annex A to the main text of the document
(see Clause 5);
g) Delete the figure of "Typical shock response spectrum" (see Figure 1 of
the 2008 edition); add the figures of "Consolidation of vibration conditions"
and "Consolidation of mechanical conditions" (see Figure 1 and Figure 2);
h) Change Annex A to "Chemically active substances";
i) Delete Annex B and Annex C of the document (see Annex B and Annex C
of the 2008 edition).
This document, using translation method, is identical to IEC 60721-3-2:2018
"Classification of environmental conditions - Part 3-2: Classification of groups
of environmental parameters and their severities - Transportation and handling".
China's document which has a consistent correspondence with the
international document normatively referenced in this document is as follows:
- GB/T 4796-2017 Classification of environmental conditions - Environmental
parameters and their severities (IEC 60721-1:2002, IDT).
This document has made the following editorial change:
- Change the document name to "Classification of environmental conditions
- Classification of groups of environmental parameters and their severities
- Part 2: Transportation and handling".
