JB/T 8157-2016 was issued by MIIT on 15 January 2016 and has been in force since 1 June 2016.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8157-1999.
2 Scope
JB/T 8157-2016 is the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard that carries the general specification for small-power single phase series motors. It fixes the types, the basic parameters and the dimensions, and then the technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules, packaging, transport and storage. It applies to small-power single phase series motors for general purposes and for household and similar electrical appliances, medical equipment, general equipment and machinery, and any requirement it does not give is to be added in the relevant product standard.
