GB/T 40096.1-2021 is the English-translated version of 就地化继电保护装置技术规范 第1部分：通用技术条件.
GB/T 40096.1-2021 is the first, general part of the Chinese series on on-site (in-situ) relay protection devices used in systems of 110 kV and below.
It sets the technical requirements for these devices: environmental conditions, rated electrical parameters, accuracy, technical principles, related equipment, power consumption, overload capacity, insulation, damp heat resistance, mechanical and electromagnetic compatibility performance, enclosure protection, safety and dynamic simulation.
It then gives the matching test methods, the factory and type inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport and storage, and the accompanying documents, design life and warranty period.
Manufacturers, designers and utilities use it when developing and applying such devices. It was issued on 21 May 2021 and has applied since 1 December 2021.

This section was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This part of GB/T 40096 specifies the technical requirements, test methods, Inspection rules and general requirements for marking, packaging, transportation and storage.
This part is applicable to the research, design, manufacture and manufacture of in-situ relay protection devices (hereinafter referred to as devices) for 110kV and below application.
