GB/T 5013 Rubber Insulated Cables of Rated Voltages up to and Including 450/750 V is divided

into eight parts.

---Part 1.General Requirements;

---Part 4.Cords and Flexible Cables;

---Part 5.Lift Cables;

---Part 6.Arc Welding Electrode Cables;

---Part 7.Heat Resistant Ethylene-vinyl Acetate Rubber Insulated Cables;

---Part 8.Cords for Applications Requiring High Flexibility.

This Part is Part 4 of GB/T 5013.This Part identically adopts IEC 60245-4.2004 Rubber

Insulated Cables - Rated Voltages up to and Including 450/750 V - Part 4.Cords and Flexible

Cables (English version).

For ease of use, this Part of GB/T 5013 makes the following editorial modifications.

---Use the decimal point "." to replace the comma ",", which acts as the decimal point;

---Delete the Foreword of the international standard.

This Part replaces GB 5013.4-1997 from the date of its implementation.

In comparison with GB 5013.4-1997, the main changes are as follows.

---All content in Chapter 2 "Braided Cords" is moved to Chapter 5 "Ethylene Propylene

Rubber Insulated Braided Extra Flexible Cords" in GB/T 5013.8;

---In terms of the insulation material, use "IE4" instead of "IE1";

---The phrase "see 5.1.3 of GB 5013.1-1997 for relevant requirements" is deleted from

"insulating layer" in 3.3.2, 4.3.2, 5.3.2 and 6.3.2;

---The lower and upper limits of the average overall diameter are reduced in Table 3, Table

5 and Table 7, and the provisions for the lower and upper limits of the average overall

diameter are revised in Table 9;

1 General

1.1 Scope

This Part of GB/T 5013 details the particular specifications for rubber insulated and braided

cords and for rubber insulated and rubber or polychloroprene or other equivalent synthetic

elastomer sheathed cords and flexible cables of rated voltages up to and including 450/750 V.

All cables shall comply with the appropriate requirements given in GB/T 5013.1 and the

individual types of cables shall each comply with the particular requirements of this Part.

1.2 Normative References

The clauses in the following documents, through reference in this Part of GB/T 5013, become

clauses of this Part. For dated references, subsequent amendments to, or revisions of, any of

these publications do not apply; however, parties to agreements based on this Part are

encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the documents
