GB/T 20674.1-2020 — This part of GB/T 20674 specifies the heat-fusion butting equipment for polyethylene (PE) piping system heated by electric heating plates (referred to as fusion equipment) Terms and definitions, classification, requirements, power supply, test methods, auxiliary devices and random documents, maintenance, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation and Store. This part, together with other parts of GB/T 20674, is applicable to welding equipment for polyethylene pipes and fittings for gas/water supply. Gas pipes and fittings comply with GB/T 15558 (all parts), and pipes and fittings for drinking water and general pressure water transmission comply with GB/T 13663 (All parts). Note. Welding equipment is used for prefabricated connection of gas/water supply components (such as valves, steel-plastic conversion, etc.) or for nuclear power pipes, PE-RT pipes for cold and hot water, When connecting industrial pipes, composite pipes, etc., the supply and demand parties shall negotiate and agree.

Foreword

GB/T 20674 "Plastic pipes and pipe fittings polyethylene system welding equipment" is divided into 4 parts.

---Part 1.Hot Fusion Butt;

---Part 2.Electrofusion connection;

---Part 3.Operator code;

---Part 4.Traceable coding.

This part is Part 1 of GB/T 20674.

This section was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This part replaces GB/T 20674.1-2006 "Plastic pipes and pipe fittings polyethylene system welding equipment Part 1.Hot melt

Next, compared with GB/T 20674.1-2006, the main technical changes are as follows.

---Deleted the operating temperature range; added a note about the application range of hot melt docking equipment (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2006 edition);

---Relevant terms and definitions have been revised (see Chapter 3, Chapter 3 of the.2006 edition);

---Modified the equipment classification, and added a note about the working temperature, larger diameter and larger wall thickness of the hot fusion butt equipment.

Modified the rigidity test method under bending conditions and the heating plate test method (see Chapter 7, Chapter 7 of the.2006 edition);

This part uses the redrafting method to modify and adopt ISO 12176-1.2017 "Plastic pipes and pipe fittings polyethylene system welding equipment No.

Compared with ISO 12176-1.2017, this part has more structural adjustments. This part and ISO 12176-1 are listed in Appendix A.

Compared with ISO 12176-1.2017, this part has technical differences. The clauses related to these differences have been passed on the outer margins.
