This section was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This part uses the redrafting law to amend and adopt ISO 12176-3.2011 "Plastic pipes and pipe fittings polyethylene system welding equipment No.

Part 3.Operator Code.

Compared with ISO 12176-3.2011, this part has many structural adjustments. Appendix A lists this part and ISO 12176-3.

1 Scope

This part of GB/T 20674 specifies the terms and definitions, data carriers, and data codes of the operator code of the polyethylene (PE) piping system welding equipment.

This part, together with other parts of GB/T 20674, applies to gas/water supply polyethylene piping system welding equipment and operators.

Note. Welding equipment is used for prefabricated connection of gas/water supply components (such as valves, steel-plastic conversion, etc.) or for nuclear power pipes, PE-RT pipes for cold and hot water,

When connecting industrial pipes, composite pipes, etc., the supply and demand parties shall negotiate and agree.

3 Terms and definitions

Qualified personnel trained in the welding skills of polyethylene pipes and/or pipe fittings.

Note. Welding operators can participate in one or more welding skills training, including. semi-automatic and/or fully automatic welding equipment.

Organizations that organize welding operator training and grant operator codes, usually pipeline operation and maintenance organizations or related organizations.
