JB/T 8857-2011 was issued by MIIT on 15 August 2011 and has been in force since 1 November 2011.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8857-2000.
2 Scope
This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for centrifugal submersible sewage pumps, shortened to pumps. It fixes their types and basic parameters, the technical requirements, the test methods and inspection rules, the guarantee period and the marking, packaging, transport and storage. It applies to pumps that move liquids carrying non-abrasive solid particles, fibres and dirt or debris, municipal sewage and chemical industry waste being the examples given. It replaces JB/T 8857-2000 and was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
