1 Scope

This standard defines common terminology and related hydraulic terms and definitions for centrifugal pumps.

2.1 According to the working principle

2.1.1 Rotary power pump rododynamicpump

By relying on the rotation of the impeller to obtain speed and pressure, the mechanical energy is converted into a machine that delivers liquid energy.

2.1.1.1 Centrifugal pump

Relying on the centrifugal force generated when the impeller rotates at a high speed, the energy is transmitted to the liquid, and the flow direction of the impeller outlet is substantially perpendicular to the pump shaft.

A power pump that transfers energy to a liquid by means of a swirling motion generated by the impeller at high speed rotation in the vane and pump flow path (see
