GB/T 44688-2024 is the English-translated version of 液体泵和泵机组通用安全技术规范.

GB/T 44688-2024 is the Chinese national standard covering the rotary power, rotor and reciprocating pump and the unit built around it — the risk assessment and the basic design rules, the safety of the pump in normal service and during transport, lifting, installation, maintenance and dismantling, the guards, the requirements for high-risk duty covering overpressure, temperature, toxic media, fire and explosion and noise and vibration, and the verification that shows each measure was actually met. Medical, nuclear, marine and food pumps sit outside the scope, and the annex fixes what the instructions for use and the warning labels have to say. First edition, under the China Machinery Industry Federation. In force from 1 January 2025. Issued on 29 September 2024, it has been in force since 1 January 2025.

1 Scope

This document specifies the basic safety requirements for liquid pumps and pump units, safety requirements for normal environments and high-risk environments, and safety requirements and measures.

The verification method implemented.

This document applies to rotary power pumps, rotor pumps, reciprocating pumps and other liquid pumps and pump units, except for medical pumps, nuclear power pumps, and ship pumps.

Except for the hydraulic systems of pumps, food pumps, liquid pumps and pump units, other types of pumps and pump units can be implemented for reference.
