1 Foreword
JB/T 9608-2013 was issued by MIIT on 31 December 2013 and has been in force since 1 July 2014.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 9608-1999.
2 Scope
This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for cut-off machines, called profile cutting machines in its text. It sets their basic parameters and types, the technical requirements, the test methods and the inspection rules, and it goes on to the marking and packaging of the machine, its warranty and its accessories. Machines used under ordinary environmental conditions are the ones it addresses. Among the standards it quotes are GB 755-2008, GB 2099.1-2008, GB 2494-2003, GB 4343.1-2009, GB 13960.1-2008 and GB 17625.1-2012. It replaces JB/T 9608-1999 and is filed under K64 and 25.140.20.
