GB/T 37078-2018 is the English-translated version of 出入口控制系统技术要求.

GB/T 37078-2018 is the Chinese technical specification for access control systems used for security, which authorize, identify and control people or items passing through access control points.

It covers the system composition and application modes, security levels, functional and performance requirements - control, indication, identification, duress, priority control, communication, self-protection, power supply and lightning protection - and the safety, electromagnetic compatibility, reliability and environmental adaptability requirements, together with marking and documentation.

Annexes give system conceptual models and typical applications, timing diagrams and equipment identification. It applies to stand-alone access control systems and to those built into other electronic systems, and can serve as a basis for their design, inspection and acceptance. It was issued on 28 December 2018 and has applied since 1 July 2019.

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the composition and application mode of the entrance and exit control system, safety level, functional and performance requirements, safety requirements, and electromagnetic Capacitive requirements, reliability requirements, environmental adaptability requirements, signs and documentation.

This standard applies to separate access control systems for the purpose of security, for the authorization, identification and control of specified targets;

Applicable to the access control system included in other electronic systems.

Note: This standard can be used as the basic basis for the design, inspection and acceptance of the entrance and exit control system.

3 Terms, definitions, abbreviations and symbols

3.1 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1.1 Portal; access control point

Used to release controlled physical access ports that are authorized to reject unauthorized persons and/or items.

3.1.2 Access control system

Using the custom coded information identification and/or mode feature information recognition technology to control the opening and closing of the device by controlling the access control point, An electronic system that implements operations such as release, rejection, recording, and warning of the entry and exit of the target at the entrance and exit.

Note: Commonly known as the access control system.

3.1.3 Controlled area; protected area

A spatial region defined by physical boundaries with one or more access control points.
