1 Foreword

JB/T 4213-2014 was issued by MIIT on 9 July 2014 and has been in force since 1 November 2014.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 4213-1996.

2 Scope

This standard is the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard that carries the general specifications for cold heading dies used in fastener production. Rather than a single tool, it treats the whole family: the requirements the dies must meet, the test methods, the inspection rules and the provisions for marking, packaging and storage. It governs the cold heading dies fitted to the automatic cold heading machines that make fasteners, which is why the individual part standards of the JB/T 4209, JB/T 4210, JB/T 4211 and JB/T 4212 series refer back to it. It is classified J46 in China and 25.120.30 internationally, and it cites GB/T 1184-1996, GB/T 1804-2000, GB/T 1958-2004 and the parts of JB/T 4208, JB/T 4209 and JB/T 4211 issued in 2014. It replaces JB/T 4213-1996.
