1 Foreword

JB/T 4212.3-2014 was issued by MIIT on 9 July 2014 and has been in force since 1 November 2014.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 4212.3-1996.

It is one of 18 parts of the JB/T 4212 series.

2 Scope

The forming punch of a cold heading die for hexagon socket head cap screws is what JB/T 4212.3-2014 describes, within the recommended standards of the Chinese machinery industry. The part sets the structural type and the dimensions of that punch, the material and the hardness required of it, and the way it is to be marked. It is intended for dies mounted on multi-station automatic cold heading machines producing hexagon socket head cap screws. The standard carries the Chinese classification J46 and the international classification 25.120.30. GB/T 70.1-2008 and JB/T 4213 are cited in it, and it takes the place of JB/T 4212.4-1996.
