JB/T 4212.5-2014 was issued by MIIT on 9 July 2014 and has been in force since 1 November 2014.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 4212.5-1996.
It is one of 18 parts of the JB/T 4212 series.
2 Scope
This standard is the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard that covers the die pieces of cold heading dies for hexagon socket head cap screws. It fixes the structural type and the dimensions of the die pieces used for primary upsetting, for forming and for the hexagon, and with them the material, the hardness and the marking. The part is written for dies running on multi-station automatic cold heading machines. Chinese classification J46 and international classification 25.120.30 apply to it. It quotes GB/T 70.1-2008 and JB/T 4213. The edition supersedes JB/T 4212.9-1996 and JB/T 4212.12-1996.
