JB/T 4212.4-2014 was issued by MIIT on 9 July 2014 and has been in force since 1 November 2014.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 4212.4-1996.

It is one of 18 parts of the JB/T 4212 series.

2 Scope

This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard belonging to the series on cold heading dies for hexagon socket head cap screws, and its fourth part concerns the punch that forms the hexagon socket itself. For that punch it fixes the structural type and the dimensions, the material and the hardness, and the marking requirements. The part is written for the tooling of double-stroke solid-die automatic cold heading machines and of multi-station cold headers. It falls under the Chinese class J46 and the international class 25.120.30 for forming presses. GB/T 70.1-2008 and JB/T 4213 are cited. It replaces JB/T 4212.5-1996, JB/T 4212.6-1996, JB/T 4212.7-1996 and JB/T 4212.8-1996.
