JB/T 4208.4-2014 was issued by MIIT on 9 July 2014 and has been in force since 1 November 2014.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 4208.4-1996.
It is one of 22 parts of the JB/T 4208 series.
2 Scope
This standard is the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for reducing dies among the common parts of cold heading tooling for fasteners. It specifies the structural types and dimensions of the reducing die, the material and hardness it must reach, and its marking. The part covers fastener cold heading dies used on double-blow solid-die automatic cold heading machines and on multi-station automatic cold heading machines. It carries Chinese classification J46 and international classification 25.120.30, and it quotes GB/T 70.1-2008, GB/T 5780-2000, GB/T 5781-2000, GB/T 5782-2000, GB/T 5783-2000, GB/T 5785-2000, GB/T 5786-2000 and JB/T 4213.
