JB/T 4209.3-2014 was issued by MIIT on 9 July 2014 and has been in force since 1 November 2014.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 4209.3-1996.
It is one of 18 parts of the JB/T 4209 series.
2 Scope
Covering reducing dies for thin shanks, JB/T 4209.3-2014 is a recommended machinery industry standard of China within the cold heading tooling series for hexagon head bolts. It defines the structural types and dimensions of the thin-shank reducing die, the material and hardness required, and the marking. Its field of use is hexagon head bolt cold heading tooling on double-blow solid-die automatic cold heading machines and on multi-station automatic machines. Chinese classification J46 and international classification 25.120.30 apply to it, and it quotes GB/T 5784-1986 and JB/T 4213-2014. It supersedes JB/T 4209.6-1996.
