JB/T 11167.2-2011 is the cable part, Part 2, of the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for long-length AC submarine cables with cross-linked polyethylene insulation rated from 10 kV (Um = 12 kV) up to 110 kV (Um = 126 kV). It fixes terms and definitions, service characteristics, product designation, technical requirements, cable identification and marking, the tests and the requirements they have to meet, the inspection rules and the rules for shipping and storage. The cables covered are long-length XLPE submarine cables and optical fibre composite submarine cables laid and operated on the seabed, and the text allows the same requirements to be used for underwater cables crossing rivers and lakes. Its quoted list includes GB/T 3953-2009, GB/T 9771.1-2008, GJB 2454-1995 and JB/T 11167.1-2011.
