JB/T 5268.2-2011 is the English-translated version of 电缆金属套 第2部分：铅套.
JB/T 5268.2-2011 is the lead part of the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard on metal sheaths for cables. It gives the models of lead sheath, their technical requirements, the test methods and the inspection rules. It applies to lead sheaths on paper-insulated power cables of AC rated voltage up to 35 kV and on communication cables whose long-term internal pressure stays below 0.07 MPa, and lead sheaths for control, signal and instrument cables may be handled by reference to it. Sheaths with other special requirements, or of another structure, fall outside it. The part replaces JB/T 5268.2-1991, is classified K13 and 29.060.20.
